It’s Monday, so it must be GUNDAY!

We all know that size doesn’t matter, and when it comes to GBB replicas of sub-compact handguns this is especially true, as even the smallest pistol can make an in-game difference if it’s used in the right way!

As much as we have tried to keep on top of all the new releases to hit the airsoft market during the last year, it has been easy to miss the odd one as we haven’t been out and about as much as we normally are; one that we have missed and will aim to rectify in testing soon is the Umarex Smith & Wesson M&P9C. M&P is the Smith & Wesson abbreviation for Military & Police, a series that has included powerful, reliable guns for tactical use and self-defense for many years; the M&P9C expands this series with a compact EDC pistol.

A new release for Umarex in March 2021, this is the GBB variant of the trusty compact M&P9C pistol. The real steel version popular with law enforcement and carry shooters in the USA, and given it’s smaller form will no doubt be hugely popular with smaller-built airsofters too! Features include:

Metal Top Slide
Blowback Mechanism
Adjustable Hop Up
Ambidextrous Slide Stop Lever
Lower Picatinny Rail
Safety Trigger System
Exchangeable Grip Backstrap (Size M only provided)

This licensed airsoft replica, a GBB model, remains extremely close to the original in terms of markings and dimensions. The short Picatinny rail means that you can still add specific accessories, and at just 168mm long and weighing in at a featherweight 569g, you still get a 14BB magazine that’s ideal for getting you out of a jam in those “SHTF” moments! Thanks to our mates at Land Warrior Airsoft (LWA) for reminding us that this little cracker still needs a test, and you’ll find details of this model, and other Umarex-licenced M&P pistols on the LWA website now!
