Here we are again at the end of another busy week, and as the weekend approaches we have another holiday here in the UK due to… well, you know, new King to be crowned and all that and much celebration to be had! No matter what your thoughts may be on this, it is most certainly a momentous occasion, and we guess that the fact that the bunting has come out at AAHQ must put us firmly in the “Royalist Camp”!

LONG LIVE THE KING!!!

Of course we’ll be back in the office come Monday morning as preparation for Issue 150 goes into top gear, but we hope for those of you that have a special game planned that the weather is fair, and your BBs fly true!

But of course it’s only a holiday in the UK and the majority of our AA LEGIONNAIRES both at home and around the globe are out and getting their game/rangeday/workshop skills on as usual. Boycie told us that “I’ve got a busy weekend. Friday is training a new shooter with airsoft initially as a lead in to RS competition. Then Saturday is hitting the Northern Shooting Show and airsoft-spotting there before a day on the RS range on Sunday. Oh am I glad there is a bank holiday as well!”

Larri is “heading to Xmission which is going to move out after this Sunday to a bigger place in the end of the month, so we want to make the most of it” whilst Chris is heading to a local site and says “Battle Lakes for me Sunday, first time fielding my WE M4 build, and also the first time fielding my new-build WE GBBR in general!” and Miguel joined our chat as usual to tell us that it’s time to go back to one of our fields with the new guys. This time we will talk about radio comms, how to use, program and speak with the radio, and talk also about replica maintenance!”

Stewbacca is being somewhat cagey as he reported in that “this weekend and next I will not be skirmishing as usual, but I will be doing #ShootyFunTimes related things, but that’s all I can say for now. Because reasons…” We have to say that we’re intrigued by this as we’re sure you are, and knowing some of the projects he’s working on it’s sure to be interesting!

Testing continues apace with new AEGs and GBBs that have come in, and Bill tells us that “I’ll be on the range again catching up the BB-count on some of the G-SERIES pistols we have in the long-term test pool; all of them have had a good basic service and are ready to be fully gassed up for some proper punishment, whilst for the new models added more recently… well, let’s just say I’ll be hammering them!”

So that’s it from us for another week; thank to all of you that have already contacted us to talk about your teams, and it’s truly wonderful to hear from readers all over the world about their own airsoft experiences! We’ve just finished up an interview with a great team in Italy who combine living history with their MilSim airsoft, and we’re pleased to tell you that this will appear as a report in the next issue of AA on the 15th!

If you’re interested in speaking to us about your team and airsoft where you live, then we’d be delighted to hear from you; we are all airsofters, and together WE ARE (AA) LEGION!

For now though we’ll wish everyone a great weekend, and as always we’ll sign off by saying Play hard, Play safe, and above all Play with Honour!
