As much as we see a LOT of AR AEG and GBBR models hitting the market on a regular basis, sometimes one comes along that makes all of us at AAHQ simply drool, and the news that the VFC L403A1 AIWS (Alternative Individual Weapon System) is now on pre-order with a few online retailers out there has our excitement levels at a high!
Although the new replica has yet to be officially launched, and doesn’t yet feature on VFC’s website there’s already some chatter in the airsoft forums about this latest release from the Taiwanese GBBR powerhouse, and as much as many of you, including us, have been made very happy with some of their recent, licenced creations (Stewbacca is already all over the Maxim Defense MD9!) the fact that we’re a UK-based magazine means that we do like “a bit of Brit” and the L403A1 certainly qualifies.
Yes, we know that there are some awesome custom “KS-1s” out there already, and in fact we’ve featured them on this very page in the past, but an out-of-the-box version of this new British Army rifle is something that we knew would come, just not exactly when…
So, a huge thumbs-up from the AAHQ crew to our friends at VFC, and along with all the correct licenced parts and KAC trademarks, what we’ve found out so far tells us that the features of their latest creation are as cool as the overall look…

The VFC L403A1 looks to be a thoroughly faithful reproduction of the British Army’s new generation rifle, and we’ve also seen that VFC will also offer optional accessory parts such as a replica KAC QDC MCQ Pressure Reduction Technology (PRT) suppressor as well as new magazines!
Do we want one?
Hell’s yeah!
Now we just need to find a suitable L900A1 Optic Suite to sit on top of it when one arrives, and we’ll be good to go… we’ll be certain to bring you our thoughts on the VFC L403A1 just as soon as we can get our grubby little mitts on one!
