We do have a bit of an ongoing “thing” for the HK416, and in fact many of the AA Crew have one in their AEG or GBBR armoury… including Bill’s GENI AEG version that’s just had a service and is still “ good to go” after nearly TWENTY YEARS in-game around the globe!
The HK416 is a bit of a “go to” for us, so we’re always happy to see an updated version of this now-venerable platform that’s beloved of “spec ops/tier one” shooters, and the UMAREX GBB take on the A5 variant certainly looks the business to us!
UMAREX say;
“This high-class HK416 A5 with full-metal body is especially interesting for ambitious airsoft players and leaves nothing to be desired. Most prominent feature is the M-LOK fore-end which takes most different accessories.
For optics mount it offers a Picatinny top rail. The pistol grip is compatible with the AR standard, and the buffer tube accepts all AR stocks with Mil-Spec. Ambidextrous operating elements, the adjustable Shoot-up (hop) and the muzzle thread (M14x1 CCW) complement the configuration of this premium rifle.”
Basically what they’re saying is that the HK416 A5 GBBR as a full metal design is made for those who don’t want to compromise when it comes to their airsoft setup. Its high-quality workmanship, functional design, and enormous versatility make the HK416 A5 a great choice for experienced players, or those that want something immediately dependable to get into “the gas life”…
Given our experience with UMAREX gas platforms (and knowing who they use as an OEMs…) we expect this to be a bit of a tack-driver straight from the box, and although UMAREX kit will never be the cheapest owning a fully-trademarked HK416 that’s a 1:1 replica of the real-deal is ALWAYS an attractive proposition!
