So, this week of course is ALL about SHOT SHOW 2026 when the mighty of the firearms industry (along with some of our airsoft industry friends!) gather in Las Vegas to showcase all that’s new and shiny in the world of shooting, both real and replica!
As always AIRSOFT ACTION has a team in the USA to cover this renowned event, and during the course of the week Boycie, Jase, and TC will be dropping in their thoughts on what they’ve seen on a daily basis.
And with the AA SHOT-Crew heading off on Friday they’re already “wheels down” and have been making the most of their trip with Boycie and TC meeting up with old friends and enjoying Vegas itself, whilst Jase met up with another old mate Sam to get “road-tripping” in a major way!
SHOT Show veteran Boycie told us in his first “daily”;
“Here goes the start of another trip to SHOT Show!
On Thursday I made my way down to Li’l Stu’s house to overnight before catching the train to Heathrow. It’s really strange to have left Stu on the platform this year as he’s been to SHOT with me for the past three years; similarly Steve who’s been at the past two. Neither of them could make it this year but I do have two SHOT ‘Rookies’ in Tim aka “TC” and Jase to see what it’s all about as well as my American ARMED LIFESTYLE MAGAZINE (ALM) colleague John P making his third trip to the show.
I met TC at Heathrow on Friday afternoon while Jase made his way up; Tim and I flew on one airline and Jase on another but we met up over the weekend to prep for the week ahead before Jase set off for Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon with Sam, another Brit friend now based in the USA.
Today, Sunday, is the day before the show proper begins for us media guys with Industry Day at the Range and the ‘testing’ a lot of the RS products out at Boulder City Rifle and Pistol Club. Also today the incredible SHOT Show team continue with the massive undertaking of building the booths and getting the Venetian Conference & Expo Center and Ceasars Forum ready for the almost 60,000 industry professional who will walk the aisles over the course of the four days of the show proper!
It is also the day when the remainder of the ALM team arrive and we all gather for our now-traditional ‘family dinner’ this evening. It’s a great opportunity to catch up with friends whom we’ve not seen for a year and also to make even more plans on the coming week.
Already the diary is full of meetings and the first one is at 0700 (what’s the 0 stand for…..*insert the line here*) with KWA where they will be launching a new magazine and have already been teasing us with a new AEG!”
