Monday’s keep on rolling around, which is actually pretty cool as there’s still a lot of new things hitting the market that are taking (and hopefully your!) attention… and the latest one is the little SIG AIR MPX-K AEG!
We’ve seen a whole load of SIG-wannabe AEGs and GBBs over the past couple few years, with some utterly fabulous builds on the MCX and MPX platform-base, but many of these have been super-expensive to start with… seeing a “sportline version” that comes from the source and is properly trademarked throughout though means that this platform just got a whole lot more accessible to all players…
To recap, the real-deal SIG MPX is a modern and versatile 9×19mm Parabellum firearm manufactured by SIG SAUER, known for its innovation, performance, and adaptability. It uses a reliable closed-bolt, gas piston operating system that reduces recoil, and has become a favourite with both police forces around the world, along with the US Army who have it is said contracted for the 4.5″ and 8″ barrelled variants.
The airsoft MPX-K comes with a 100-BB mid-capacity magazine and boasts a sleek black look with solid build quality. Its sub-compact design allows for easy manipulation in tight corners, so it’s a great CQB/CQC choice, and the ambidextrous fire controls and magazine release enable convenient operation for both right-handed and left-handed users.
The polymer-bodied SIG AIR Proforce MPX-K Sportline has a modified V2 gearbox which drives things along around the 300fps mark as standard, and features a quick change spring system to allow for switching out lighter or heavier springs for indoor or outdoor close-encounters, as well as full compatibility with most standard V2 gearbox components like the piston assembly and rotary gears. The battery is wired to the front of the replica and it will take 7.4V – 9.6V batteries, although we’re told that 11.1V batteries should NOT be used…
This looks to be a great little AEG that should please players that want the “MIL/LE” look without breaking the bank, and we’re hoping that we can pick one up for testing from our mates at iWholesales when we pay our regular visit to them at the end of the month… so as always, watch this space!
