2026 is certainly cranking as LCT have advised us that they are already releasing TWO new “OPFOR-friendly” AEG models that we saw at MOA EXPO… with a LOT more to come!
They told us;
“LCT is excited to announce the January 2026 release of two modern tactical AK AEGS: MK‑74 and LKR‑9.
These new models are designed to meet the diverse tactical accessory needs of today’s players, offering factory-ready modern aesthetics and performance without the need for aftermarket modifications.”
The LKR-9 (as shown in our image today) is another super little “shorty” for those that love their CQB-play, and the features look good!
- Derived from the popular LCT PP‑19‑01 Vityaz platform, featuring a wide 1913 Picatinny rear trunnion.
- Factory-standard 1913-X Folding Stock — lightweight, durable, and quickly foldable.
- Supports a range of stock configurations, including:
- PK427 1913-AR Folding Stock Tube with PK308 LTS Stock
- ZPT‑1913 with Z-series stocks
If woodland play is more your thing, then the full-length MK-74 could be just what you’re looking for!
- Modern MK-style handguard with integrated monolithic rail for true in-line mounting of optics and laser devices.
- Removable rear section of the upper rail allows battery replacement without affecting existing optics.
- Free-floating barrel eliminates point-of-impact shifts during handling or barricade/bipod use.
- CNC machined from 6061 aluminum alloy.
- M-LOK slots & 1913 Picatinny rail.
- Fixed stock with 6-position length adjustment.
As always we’re certain that these two new models from LCT will both benefit from the tank-like build-quality that we’ve come to expect from our friends in Taiwan, with performance more than adequate from the box.
If you’re in the market for a new “OPFOR AEG” then we’d suggest that these are most definitely worth a look, and both should be available to order from your friendly local airsoft store this month!
