It’s a whole new week, and as ISSUE 179 has now settled in and the reads are growing it’s time that we got back to “airsoft biz as usual”!

We’ve not heard a lot from our friends over at LCT in Taiwan for a while, and both Bill and Stewbacca are looking forward to seeing them in person at MOA next month in Taipei to get the lowdown on what they have in the pipeline!

However, they did reach out to tell us that their latest OPFOR creation, the MPi-AKS-74NK will be dropping tomorrow! They told us;

LCT proudly presents its first AEG of DDR AK: MPi-AKS-74NK. Launching October 21st — history reborn for true collectors.

LCT Pays Tribute to a Legendary Firearm by faithfully reproducing the MPi-AKS-74NK assault rifle once manufactured by the former German Democratic Republic (DDR), LCT stays true to the original craftsmanship and appearance.

Every design detail has been carefully recreated to achieve maximum authenticity;

  • Bakelite Handguards -Made from Bakelite material, the handguards are crafted using methods similar to the original firearm. The appearance and texture are highly realistic, showcasing the authentic manufacturing characteristics.
  • Accurate shape Butt Stock – Accurately replicates the shape and proportions of the original rifle stock. Produced with brand-new molds, it fully reflects the true style of the real firearm.
  • Newly Molded Realistic Parts – Includes components such as the flash hider, front sight block, bayonet mount, scope mount, and pistol grip. These parts are precisely shaped to match the original, enhancing the overall realism.
  • Authentic Style Markings – Authentic Engraved Markings on the rear sight, chamber, receiver, and top cover are faithfully reproduced according to the original specifications.

The detailed and sharp engravings add significant value for collectors and display purposes.”

Now we do love an LCT AK variant, and the MPi-AKS-74NK certainly looks like the business to us! If you fancy adding something unique to your OPFOR AEG collection then we think that this could well be a “must have”!
