In last month’s AIRSOFT ACTION (ISSUE 177) Stewbacca and “Military Anny” got “inside airsoft” once again to speak to the lovely people at MODIFY, and shared with us all of the goodness we can look forward to as the company moves ever-forward!
Here at AAHQ though recently had a chance to get our hands on the MODIFY TRINITY HI CAPA which we first spoke about in March having seen it at IWA, and it showed us that there’s already great things newly-available from the team in Taiwan!
The official spiel tells us;
“The Modify Trinity Hi-Capa Gas Blowback Pistol combines precision engineering, durability, and high performance in a compact airsoft package. Built with a durable metal slide and frame and a polymer pistol grip, this Hi-Capa GBB pistol delivers realistic blowback, reliable performance, and excellent handling for airsoft gameplay and tactical training.
Its patented slide release allows precise hop-up adjustment without disassembling the upper and lower body, while the shortened trigger travel and steel firing mechanism (including hammer, sear, and disconnector) improve durability and responsiveness. The ambidextrous stainless-steel thumb safety ensures smooth operation for both right- and left-handed players.
The hardened anodized 6.03mm inner barrel with modern bucking enhances airtightness, range, and precision, while the muzzle supports 11mm CW threading for silencers, tracers, and other accessories. A Picatinny / 1913 under rail allows for mounting of lights or lasers, and the pistol is highly compatible with Tokyo Marui parts for upgrades and modifications.”
Hands-on this feels like a truly remarkable GBB pistol, with great weight and balance, and a super-smooth action which bodes well for performance. The innovative hop-adjuster most certainly shows a new direction, and it offer REALLY precise adjustment.
