It’s that time again to get your zombie or survivor on, and we hope that many of you are preparing to head on out this weekend to one of those special HALLOWEEN GAMES, and all of us at AIRSOFT ACTION are looking forward to seeing all manner of spook-tacular loadouts in the various airsoft groups that we follow ourselves come Monday!

As the nights start to draw in though, and it starts getting colder we’re turning our attention at AAHQ right now not to themed-kit for special games, but to gear that keeps us “snug in the safe zone” all winter season, and allows us to carry on enjoying ALL our games… in fact look out for a special gear article in ISSUE 180 devoted to this…

And ISSUE 180 for NOVEMBER 15 is already well-advanced, and as our plans begin to turn fully to “show season” we’re also laying up ISSUE 181, and both are looking righteous with our usual mix of articles, reviews, and entertaining snippets to keep you fully up to date with the airsoft industry and player communities!

But all work and no “rounds down” makes us all a bit dull, so of course as the weekend approaches we’re readying ourselves for our own games, events, range sessions, and workshop schedules, and it looks like the members of the AA LEGION worldwide are as busy as ever!

As is usual, Stewbacca (pictured this week, jungle-stylee!) kicked off our weekly Team Chat and told us “this weekend, we will be mostly doing our team MilSim, back down at the beach side site of POLK 4 previously. Hopefully the weather will hold, seems like we already have a larger turnout than expected, I’m contemplating the FNC/L403A1 combo, or perhaps the FAL/OSW. Decisions, decisions as always, fellow shooters… Hopefully the weather isn’t shite!

Miguel added “we are helping organize a charity event at our field. There was a team looking for a place to host this event, which aims to help the family with a daughter that unfortunately suffers with refractory epilepsy. After knocking on some doors, they talked with me and we accepted the request. So, another day out in the field, with the yellow vest, but for a good cause.”

Bill commented “I’ve been invited to an annual, invite-only private Halloween game hosted by some good friends, airsoft old-timers who know how to have fun whilst slingin’ some BBs… and have access to some private woodland for some after-dark action! It’s time to dust off my METRO loadout I feel as there are bound to be ‘infected’ somewhere in the mix… a gas mask and an AK74 with GP-25 UBGL will be my friends I’m sure haha!

Matt said “we have a team gear-check this weekend before, less than a month after my last big AMS Op, we’re going to another the weekend after this…” and Dan carried things on to say “I’ve got a SIG Rattler build to get started on, pending on if my replacement belts for my mini-mill show up in time. If not, I’ll have to sit on it for a bit, as I’m not about to sink the time it takes hand filing the top of the barrel so a battery can be situated above, otherwise. Power tools are the way lol. I also have some new kit I want to test out, which is this Shaw Concepts Side Kick holster pad. I think a hike / run will be in order…

Somewhat less actively Boycie said “of course it’s SHOT soon and I’ll be heading things up again, before Jase and Bill off to IWA again… lots of reporting to be done my friends… LOTS… hopefully I’ll have a bit of time this weekend to discuss a future plan with Tim C about an upcoming article too!Jase added “don’t forget, I’m going to SHOT too this year!!!

So to round things off this week we hope that you’ve got something supper-spooky and interesting lined up for your weekend airsoft fix, and if you’re out in-game like some of us, then Play Hard, Play Safe, and above all Play with Honour!
