It’s always an exciting time at AAHQ when we see the read numbers climbing steadily for our latest issue and we prepare ourselves to launch into “prep mode” for the next one!

Content streams in constantly from the members of the AA LEGION all over the world, with reviews, articles, and game/event reports landing literally every single day… sometimes it’s a struggle to work out what to fit into the next issue, and what gets pushed along to the next… yup, we actually have so much content we have to juggle it around sometimes to make sure we’re prioritising what we believe you should all know about…

Of course the daily updates via the web news let us keep you updated of emergent products and games/events and also allows us a little space to get AEGs, GBBs, and gear properly tested before we drop a verdict… anyone can “unbox”, but are they able to deliver you the in-depth information and analysis on new shiny things like we do?

No is the answer, because all the members of the AA CREW and wider AA LEGION live and breathe airsoft on a daily basis, and it’s OUR passion just as it is YOURS! And of course that also means that everyone involved in AIRSOFT ACTION is either busy in the workshop, out on the range, or in-game pretty much every weekend, and this one is no exception!

Stewbacca told us in our weekly chat that although Taiwan is currently getting hammered by heavy rains that “it’s raining sideways here, and has been since last weekend, fellow shooters, so I didn’t bother shooting last Sunday. This weekend team TaiJi are planning to head to Pewniversity again after not getting there last week due to poor turnout and weather. Maybe I’ll take the MP5SD3 for another spin, or perhaps the FNC and L403A1 as I may use them for next weekend’s team MilSim…

Miguel said “this Sunday we are attending a game within the THE GAME community. And it will be in a woodland field that we never played on. We are also under some rain, but it will stop Friday…

Over in the USA Dan is “doing a little clean-up and organization of the workshop mess this weekend… then I can start working on my next review!” and Matt told us all “I’m finishing up my Ironhorse article and then out for a practice day for next MilSim Op in like two weeks…

Boycie is also hard at work as he said “I’ll be spending some of the weekend planning and starting part 3 of the “Codenamed Nova” series. Actual details <redacted> until the next issue. Then some work on what will become the home office and my writing place for AA and ALM”, and following the workshop theme Rich told us that “I’ll be cracking on getting my workshop sorted so I can get on with my airsoft machining shenanigans.”

Bill is looking forward to a proper, full range day and said “Even if it’s wet I have my last shoot with the GHK gas PDW before I complete my review on that, and I’m REALLY looking forward to sending some BBs downrange with the new BOLT MAS GBB AR… I’ve already had it in pieces to check out what’s going on internally, and the first few shots have been promising… now it’s time to put it through some drills, and the fact that regular MWS-style mags fit and function means I can run it hard…

Ben (pictured this week to remind us all what t-shirt weather looks like!) is also out testing, but in-game rather than on the range as he reported in that “this Sunday I’m out playing with my new secret weapon at the Citadel Prison, so I’m gonna have an absolute banger as I’ve not been out for a little while… then I’m gonna start looking into playing a few night games, tis the season for it!

So, as usual it’s a right mixed-bag of airsoft-related fun for the AA CREW, and we hope that you’ve also got some cool 6mm adventures of your own lined up… just remember to gear-up ready for the conditions you might be facing; as the old sayings go “there’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad gear” and our absolute favourite… “any fool can be uncomfortable!

Whatever you’re up to though, as ever Play Hard, Play Safe, and above all Play with Honour!
