Wow! As we finish-up on the publishing platform uploads for ISSUE 180 TOMORROW (YES, TOMORROW!) we’re wondering where exactly the last month has disappeared … but then we look not only at the creation of another monthly issue of AIRSOFT ACTION but also to the sheer number of games, events, workshop and range sessions that the members of the AA LEGION have undertaken and it’s no surprise that the days seem to blur just a little!
You don’t get to be the biggest English-language airsoft magazine by sitting around with brain in reverse, now do you?
No, you’ve gotta be out there playing airsoft, working on and shooting the latest (and some of the oldest!) AEGs and GBBs out there and hitting events to keep on top of the news, and as always for the new issue tomorrow the guys have done exactly that… and because we’re on top of the game we’re able to bring you the full lowdown on the new TOKYO MARUI EVOLT AEG system that was revealed at the first show of the season, the TOKYO MARUI FEST 2025 courtesy of our “legionnaire” in Japan, Rai sensei!
But there’s a lot more in there for you to enjoy and be entertained by of course, and just because there’s a new issue hitting the interwebz it doesn’t mean that the AA CREW are taking their foot off the gas when it comes to finding new content for you, and the guys are as busy as ever!
Each midweek we have an online chat session where all those involved in AIRSOFT ACTION can talk about their ongoing projects, and what plans they have… as you can imagine the banter does veer off, but we try to at least keep things somewhat sensible when we make our update post each Friday! This is what the guys had to share this week…
Not only of course is it “show season” already, but it appears that it’s also the beginning of “that other festive season” (not sayin’ the word yet!) as Ben told us “I’ve nothing game-wise planned for this weekend as of yet, but I am doing a boys meet up for food and drinks with Jimmy and our mater Lweis as it’s been awhile since we last had a get together… I had a blast last Saturday night though playing up at the Citadel Prison, and will probably look at doing another night game at CUF and back at the Citadel hopefully before the year is out…”
Matt said “I’m having a weekend of chill airsoft after my team’s recent month of back to back heavy national MilSim Ops… look out for the reports coming soon!” whilst Dan commented “this weekend will be one of the next to last events of the year before winter settles in, so I’m planning on being out there to get some pew pew time in. I’ll probably be taking the new LCT AK build out on its maiden voyage, with the VFC SIG MCX coming along for backup.”
More games afoot too as Stewbacca reported in to say “Team TaiJi are apparently returning to Pewniversity, so I’ll probably take my M16A2 out again now it’s been further upgraded. Maybe also the PSG-1 or KS1…”, Miguel added “we got invited to a private event called [REDACTED] at [REDACTED]. It will be Saturday afternoon, which is quite rare, and knowing the organization, we can expect some high-tech missions and good actors” whilst Rich told us “a few of us are off to Redcon-2 on Sunday. A gauntlet was mentioned!”
Boycie is “having some quiet time but will be working on three upcoming features for future issues and getting some hone rangetime in” whilst Bill (pictured this week) is “back at the woods range as although I’ve nailed down my reports for ISSUE 180 I’m already at work on ISSUE 181 given that I’ll be in Taiwan for MOA with Stewbacca and Anny for a few days… I’ve got the latest HUNTSMAN Hi Capa to run through the barricade drills, and I want to put some more work into my own GHM9 now I’ve got the optics and accessories package just how I like it. I’ll probably run a few more mags through the GHK DDM4 as well as I just love shooting it…”
So that’s it for today, but of course do tune in tomorrow for ISSUE 180! If you’re out playing yourself then have great fun, and as always we’ll sign off by saying Play Hard, Play Safe, and above all Play with Honour!
