Hell, how did we get to the last AA LEGION post of 2025 already?

This year really has been a rollercoaster in so many ways, and as we look back on all the games, shows, and events that we’ve been involved in over the past twelve months, it genuinely feels like we’ve upped our cadence yet again to just keep pace with everything that’s gone, and is going, on!

And that’s before all the different AEGs and GBBs that we’ve had the opportunity to test both in-game and on our respective ranges, all the great tech and gear we’ve had chance to check out, and all the projects that have been undertaken by the more technically-minded of the AA Crew!

Yup, it’s been one heck of a year alright, and from what we’ve already seen 2026 looks like it’s going to be even busier, and we’re already discussing plans and ploys for the coming year…

And in truth our end-of-week posts are more than just letting all of you out there know what the AA Crew are up to, but an opportunity for us to come together as a team and talk to one another… and believe us when we say that a LOT of the banter in our weekly posts doesn’t make it into the final edit, as frankly some of it is definitely unprintable!

But that’s the thing with a close-knit team, isn’t it, that although you may not be together every day, when it comes to BEING together you have the grounding of a solid history and a solid purpose always there, and the banter is both given and received in a spirit of shared experience and shared commitment to doing the best we can month in and month out…

We often say that “we love what we do”, and honestly, it’s the truth… all of the members of the AA LEGION love airsoft and devote themselves to spreading the good word accordingly! Every single one of us is an airsofter, and whether we play a lot or a little, or we shoot in competitions or on the range, it’s that “Joy of 6mm” that keeps us coming back for more!

And talking of more, let’s share what the AA Legionnaires are up to this weekend…

Bill started things rolling this week as he told us “I’m heading back to the woods range for “airsoft biz as usual” as I have the CYMA C0006R and Double Eagle M914A to put through their paces a bit more for the commencement of my 2026 testing program, as well as shooting my VFC KS-1 GBBR now that the suppressor is fitted… looking forward to that!

For once it looks like Stewbacca (pictured this week doing what he loves…) might be easing off just a little (in fairness he deserves it after all his recent show-related efforts!) as he commented “I might take a break this weekend as the team are headed to my least favourite site and I probably can’t get a ride anyway due to our leader being off to plan POLK 6 and check out an apparently new site for this next MilSim adventure for 2026. Maybe I’ll finally get around to reading the last issue right before the next drops! Not. Enough. Hours. In. The. Day. And I usually don’t sleep until 0200 anyway as of late… lots still to be done, fellow shooters…

Miguel said “this Sunday we will be present at ChristmasQB5 from ANA, the last event in the association’s calendar, and like the name suggest, it’s a CQB event. And it’s also a solidarity event, with the goal of helping a local association.” Bruno added “I’m already getting my gear ready for the ChristmasQB5 that is going to be this Sunday… it’s gonna be great!

In the USA Dan told everyone “we’ll be visiting family this weekend, so there’s no pew pew in my near future…- aside from which, I’m not sure they’d appreciate any room clearing or CQB in their place lol. I’ll have one new article finished up over the weekend though, I just need to go through and gather up the photos for it and upload everything…” whilst Matt said “I will be asserting my right as an American with deep-seated Catholic guilt by staring at my amazon cart full of gear and not buying it yet even though I will eventually… so it’s just perpetual torment over not doing it!

Boycie shared that “I will be coaching marksmanship this weekend, and also working more on my plan for SHOT Show next month. I’ve a zoom meeting on Saturday with a supplier about something being featured in the 15th Jan issue…

So, once again a mixed bag of games, range days, and general airsoft-related shenanigans, and like Dan many of the AA Crew are starting to spend time with their families as is right and proper at this time of the year!

We’ll be here as usual all of next week, with ISSUE 181 dropping on MONDAY, the 15th, so be sure to tune in for that! For now though we’ll wish you all the very best for the season’s festivities ahead, and if you’re out playing this weekend then Play Hard, Play Safe, and above all Play with Honour!
