It’s that time of the month again where the AA Crew all take a breath; with ISSUE 174 all laid up and ready to go live next week bar the actual upload to our publishing platforms the pressure is off for a few short days before we head onto the next one!

Of course, while some of the crew make the most of their downtime, and some are attending “VE DAY 80” events and paying their respects to all those that served during WWII, it’s also as always “airsoft business as usual” for many of us, with games to attend, sites to check out, and range-testing sessions to be completed, and as Bill told us in our weekly group-chat roundup;

“ISSUE 174 is pretty much good to go for the 15th, so with another great-weather weekend forecast the woods range is most definitely calling to me, and I’m intending to have a solid day on Saturday where many, many BBs will be harmed! I’ve got the new NUPROL Delta Pioneer AEG to work up, and then there’s a little MAC AEP I’ve been meaning to get round to shooting too… gotta love a bit of BIG MAC ATTACK, right? I’ve also been a bit remiss on my pistol training recently, so a bit of barricade work is probably long overdue… and then it’ll be BBQ time as I managed to find a little taste of Germany and IWA, some excellent Nürnberger Rostbratwurst!”

Stewbacca’s tempo is as solid as always, and he told us “we originally planned to hit up Xindian again and do some long range funtimes and #GunScience prior to the upcoming MilSim, but seems the weather is once again going to be dank and shite. So Linkou CQB is the plan; we will probably still take the gun vise along as well as a gazebo and avail ourselves of their outdoor range if the weather isn’t totally shocking. Otherwise it’s indoors kill house funtimes on the menu for us. I still have work to do with the M16A2 towards the upcoming pre and post 4UADSmartAirsoft MagnusPro HOP unit installation, but judging by how easily I was laying waste to a dangling gas can at 30m at Sanzhi last weekend I’d say it’s already pulling its weight…”

Over in Portugal Bruno reported that “Sara and I will be attending a MilSim event called Salamandra, really excited about it!” and Sara added “I’m actually attending for the first time a MilSim game… I’ll be behind the camera taking pictures, but I can’t wait to see everyone’s enthusiasm in a two-day game!” Miguel (pictured this week with an all-new Specna Arms J-Series AEG!) for once is not attending Salamandra but for a very good reason, as he said “while some of my guys from GHOST OPS are attending Salamandra, I’ll be part of another mission; along with the older players of the team we are attending the wedding of one of our members!”… all of us at AIRSOFT ACTION send our best wishes!

Dan is taking some downtime, but has “home ops” planned, as he commented “I’m a little burned out with wrenching, so I’m taking the weekend off to recharge. I also need to get around to assembling a few planter boxes for the garden and get a fence up to keep the hordes of deer at bay; “Happy wife, happy life” as they say lol.” Li’l Stu is also taking some time away from the tools, while Boycie is “planning the next build with a mate, and the write up for the said “Project Build”. I’m also preparing for a visit by L’il Stu ready for a day out next weekend with him and Steve.”

Ben is still working on his NVG setup, and is planning some “after dark activities”, and Rich said “I’m thinking of visiting South Central Airsoft near Redditch; it’s a site in its infancy but it shows promise.”

Jase is kicking back literally, and off to “da footy” at Old Trafford, while Robbie told us that “there’s no airsoft for me  as I’ll be attending a LARP in the woods weekend (100% in game start Fri eve to Sun afternoon) as the pirate I am, to lay waste to people with foam sword and shield… yes, I am already smiling, hehe!”

So, as you can see, some of the AA Crew do actually have lives outside airsoft… and we’ve had one bit of “real world news” this week that’s made us all smile… huge thanks to everyone that has enquired about Jimmy who has been pretty darn poorly, and isn’t quite out of harm’s way as yet… he did chip in to the group chat this week though, and told us “thanks guys for the love, things are starting to look up. I have been upgraded to a lower dependency ward which is fantastic news and I am receiving the treatment incredibly well.”

We’re definitely sending big-love to our resident tech-viking, and we hope that you’ll continue to do so too as he continues to make his recovery! And on that positive note, all at AAHQ wish you a very enjoyable weekend, and if like some of us you’re taking some downtime, then rest easy and chill!

Of course if you’re out in-game then Play Hard, Play Safe, and above all… Play with Honour!
