We’re already well into a new month here at AAHQ and preparations for ISSUE 178 are now entering their final stages… and we’ve got another action-packed issue ready for you with new AEGs and GBBs tested, and event news from around the globe as always!

This year so far has not been the easiest for airsoft, and we’re saddened to hear that some in the industry have not weathered the constant storm that a worried world economic situation has created… to those who have “fallen” we offer our sincere thanks for all that you’ve done to make our airsoft world a better place, and that you’ll continue to thrive wherever your journey takes you next!

But even in the midst of troubling times, airsoft continues to thrive, and this year has already seen some thrilling events like the ACTION AIR WORLD SHOOT, in addition to some major shows that brought us so much new airsoft goodness… yes, we’re actually still catching up with these, and the next show season will be soon upon us!

So, there’s an awful lot to look forward to as we head for Q4 2025, and rest assured that AIRSOFT ACTION  will be there to guide, enlighten, and hopefully entertain you with our, as Stewbacca is wont to say, “continued shenanigans”, and the AA Crew are pushing forward hard to ensure that we continue to do this!

But what are they up to this weekend?

Ben and Bill (pictured this week courtesy of the photo shoot they did with KRIOS Pohtography) had a superb time down at the UK NATIONAL AIRSOFT FESTIVAL, and whilst Ben is away on a well-earned holiday, Bill is back at it again and getting his usual rangetime in! He told us that “I’m actually more excited than usual about hitting the woods range this weekend as both Stewbacca and I have now taken delivery of our VFC L403A1 GBBRs! As Brits it’s been a long old time since we had something new from our home forces to play with, and after a quick shoot when it arrived I have very high hopes indeed for VFCs latest creation!”

Stewbacca told us that “this week we are planning to actually go to longtan, as last week we didn’t have many in attendance so went to Linkou instead. I’m pondering whether to field the FNC or full length FAL, or perhaps the L403A1 because jungle warfare reasons!”

From the USA Dan chipped in to say “I’ll be heading out this weekend for OP:Pegasus XVI. Looks like it’s going to be another scorcher this year as we’re once again sitting under another unseasonable heat dome. We’ll have to see how the wildfire smoke pans out by the weekend too – it’s starting to thicken up out there! Drink water, I guess!”, and Matt commented “it’s the first practice of the University season so that means newbies to introduce to the hobby and sport!”

The crew in Portugal are back in action, and Miguel said “this Sunday we are getting back in action. We will be hosting a simple practice among the team and possibly a friend team. Something simple. Testing new gear that arrived in the meantime, taking the dust off the older one and then a couple of skirmishes.

From his workshop, a place of airsoft secrets and skulduggery, Boycie told us “well, it’ll be a busy weekend of writing and also waiting on the delivery of a couple of products for Project “Star”… wait! what? Not <Redacted>? Nope one project name is now out there! Also working with Li’l Stu and Steve to plan Part II of Project Star…

With some of the AA Crew still on holidays, and with the AAHQ team getting ready for theirs, the tempo remains high! Whatever you’re doing airsoft-wise this coming weekend we hope that you’ll have fun, and if you’re out in-game like some of us then Play Hard, Play Safe, and above all, Play with Honour!
