So, today we wish our colleagues and battle-buddies over in the USA a very happy  4TH OF JULY from the entire AIRSOFT ACTION crew and we sincerely hope that while they’re enjoying their freedom with family and friends that they’re also gearing up for a long weekend of airsoft ahead… we know that we are!

Wherever you may be in our shared world of airsoft though, Friday is always a special day as the weekend beckons, and although we know that many will shoot and even play during the week, it’s always Saturday and Sunday where airsoft comes fully alive.

Friday means we’re charging batteries, checking seals and magazines in readiness for filling, shaking down our gear, and finalising travel plans with our friends… there’s honestly nothing like that feeling of knowing “tomorrow is a shooting day”, now is there?

And it doesn’t matter where you are in the world, or whether you’re in-game or on the range, it’s a feeling that we all share, and one that we all love… so airsofters everywhere… HERE’S TO YOU!

But of course we’re here to tell you what the AA Crew are up to this weekend, and as always it’s a mixed bag, especially given that “family vacation” time is upon us; over in the USA Dan said “I’ll be enjoying a bit of time off at the lake” while Matt told us that “I’ll be announcing a new videogame and wrangling production staff at work/work, and then airsoft on Sunday which is really more an excuse to work on my tan…” tough life our bois over the big pond have, right?

Back on track though, Bill is back to his usual shenanigans and said “I’ll be hitting the woods range on Saturday as I need to finish up my rangework with a Maruyama APC, and fine-tune the PERUN Clicker in my Specna Arms Mk18… looks like I may need my Gore Tex though! I’ve also been invited to a friendly post-ap game run by some mates so I’m dusting off my ‘Last Ship’ loadout that I actually created during the pandemic (pictured) for a run-out!”

Stewbacca is also “hard on the tools” again, and said “this week we are planning on returning to Xindian in the mountains of Southern Taipei, I’ll probably break out the PSG-1 again as I can actually see a bit further at that site and have better cover. Also picked up some magazines for the Modify Steyr Scout our teammate left with me when he left for Canada, so I might bung that in the same long boi bag our friends at JTECH were good enough to give me when Anny and me visited them earlier this week. Time for some long range work in the heat of summer I guess…”

Boycie and Li’l Stu are still involved in their “secret squirrel stuff” that they’re playing very close to their height-mismatched chests, Jase is home with his family, and Ben told us “nothing more than just letting a few rounds off on the range for me; I brought a KRYTAC LVOA with a Mancraft engine, was chronoing it and my regulator had a blow-out so I need to buy new one… also I’m torn between do I keep the HPA engine in it and shorten the barrel and rail as it’s really too long for my liking, or do I fancy put the engine in something else…

Miguel for once is having some downtime… yup, you read that right! He said “I have a RARE weekend out of Airsoft. This weekend I’ll be attending the “bread festival”, along some close friends from the airsoft world… so although I won’t be playing, there will be a lot of airsoft involved after all I think!”

Sadly our new boi Bruno has managed to injure himself, and told us all “well, I sprained my ankle yesterday and it’s super swollen; what I really want is to go out to the field and train with my mates, we’ll see how I feel tomorrow… *sad Bruno Noises*…” It’s something we’ve all done at one time or another, so we’re sure that you’ll join us in wishing Bruno a speedy recovery!

That’s about it from us this week, and once again we wish all our friends in the USA the best! If you’re out shooting then have fun, and if you are in-game then as always we’ll sign off for the week by saying Play Hard, Play Safe, and above all… Play with Honour!
