Well, we’re into a whole new month which means a fresh month of airsoft adventures and of course a new issue of AIRSOFT ACTION, 175, on the 15th too! We’re already hard at work on it, and the majority of our content has already been sent over to design for proof-layup… yup, we genuinely never stop, and there’s ALWAYS something happening at AAHQ!
As we said earlier of course this weekend for many will mean an extra day off work for the AA office bodies”, and we are certainly going to be making the most of it as our range days continue at pace, and look set to continue doing so with all the new AEG and GBB goodness dropping right now.
We may be experiencing “strange times” around the world again right now, but bizarrely airsoft continues as always, and if reports from sites local to us are anything to go by, the “summer season” is already in full swing!
But what of the AA Crew, what have they been up to, and what have they got planned?
As usual Stewbacca was fast off the mark in our weekly team chat and told us “this week, we will be mostly shooting in Sanzhi, at the tile factory, again weather permitting. For once it was a nice rainless Sunday last week and a little warmer already.
But rainy season here is unpredictable, nonetheless. I’ll probably take the FNC again to stretch its legs on longer range indoor-ish shooting and re-confirm zero before the upcoming MilSim – although it seemed to be pretty dead on last time. Have a lot of upcoming content or completed site visits to keep writing up for your viewing pleasure as well, fellow shooters… The magic never ends…”
Miguel and the crew members in Portugal are also “in-game”, and Miguel said “this Sunday, the guys and I will attend a game within a community of teams that we are part off. It will be a game on the smaller size, but a good chance to test out the J CORE that is on the way!”… yeah, we’re liking the look of the Specna Arms AKs so we’ll be every bit as interested as the rest of you out there to read Miguel’s review soon!
Ben and Jase are taking some downtime this weekend after their “hi-speed, lo-drag night-ops” at The Citadel site locally last weekend, but they also tested some cool kit while they were playing, so we’re looking forward to bringing those reports to you soon! Boycie once again has his “tech hat” on, and said “There’s a big downside to watching SEAL Team, it gives one a lot of ideas, including Sonny’s M249. Planning will begin this weekend; it’ll have to be on a budget but could be a good feature…”
Bill added “it’s always cool to see movie guns replicated for airsoft, and I must say I’ve been 100% guilty of doing this myself in the past… that said, there’s so much cool stuff that’s come out in recent years that I’m happy enough with that! A case in point are the VFC BCM-licenced AEGs and GBBRs such as the special edition version shown in this week’s pic of Stewbacca, and as I am for once actually up to date with testing I think I’ll just be taking my own BCM’s up to the woods range and running some barricade drills!”
Dan, our resident tech-ace in the USA commented “I am mainly planning on squaring away a few builds that have come in for some tune ups, one of which has logged 108,567 BBs since it was last in for servicing (for a grand total of 277,872 BBs downrange!) Also I need to assess the total sum of damage to a poor poor SCAR which suffered a LiPo fire; I’m guessing the guy stuffed something puffy in or sheared the wires when he inserted the stock and smoked it. Not sure I’ll be able to reforge this into the Sword of Anduril though…” while fellow US Legionnaire Matt said “I got blasted by my own blank nades last weekend after I gave them out to see what they were like, so I’m back out this weekend to keep throwing nades at people to get my take on them to write about!”
Thankfully his “nade” comment from last week’s update wasn’t SO cryptic after all!
With some of the AA Crew away, at work doing their “day jobs”, or recovering from illness (a BIG shout out to Jimmy, get well soon mate!), it’s otherwise airsoft-business as usual for us, and we hope for you too!
Whatever you may be doing, make the most of the current fine weather and get out to shoot or play airsoft… and remember, as always Play Hard, Play Safe, and above all… Play with Honour!
