Another months swings on by, and with it comes a slightly less frenetic tempo for all at AIRSOFT ACTION as many of our mainland European team take their annual “August Break”, as indeed do many of the manufacturers throughout Europe as well!

Thankfully we’ve already put a lot of content in the bank to cover this period, and ISSUE 177 is coming together fast for the 15th as always. We’ve also spoken to many of our industry friends and partners and already have test AEGs and GBBs landed ready to get them on the range, so there’ll be no holidays (yet!) for the AAHQ team.

And of course it’s an exciting time again for airsoft, this time on a global stage as competitors, including our very own Stewbacca, have been in Iloilo City, Philippines for the Action Air World Shoot 2025! A HUGE shout out to the team representing Great Britain of course, among them other good mates like Danny Y, Tim W and his son Paul. Shooting is starting to draw to a close, and we hope that ALL the competitors who are representing their nations have had a GREAT time… and of course there’ll be full coverage of this awesome event in AIRSOFT ACTION in due course!

Stewbacca told us “this Saturday is our final day of shooting, after that it’ll be the results and closing ceremony on the Sunday, and another day of live fire at Mike’s Range on the Monday… at least I did great with the real guns! We’re enjoying ourselves immensely with the great Filipino hospitality, among good company, even if it is an exhausting life, fellow shooters…”

Things closer to home are in “airsoft business as usual” mode as Bill commented “it’s been a great week at AAHQ with lots of new shiny things arriving in for testing, so this weekend I’ll be getting me some rangetime and harming some BBs with the GOLDEN EAGLE DDM4 FSP and WELL PPK20 GBBRs, along with the EVOLUTION GHOST 3.0 and DELTA ARMORY FREYA GEN2 AEGs… busy busy!”

Ben said “my airsoft plan this weekend will be to zero in the scope on my Double Bell TTI JW M4, and then it’ll be game-time again on the 17th, and then The National Airsoft Festival for Bill and I at the end of this month.” Jase chipped in to say that “I’m going to go down to Wales for the weekend, to check out what’s happening with the bois at Battle Nexus!

Over in the USA Dan told us that “one of our long time community members, now retired, has donated the last of his airsoft collection for giveaways at Pegasus XVI in September. I’ll be meeting up with him this weekend to collect everything and give it all the once-over to ensure it’s all functional and good to go” whilst Matt (pictured this week) said “I’ll be airsofting as usual at the local field…

Miguel posted a suitably “vacation-like” meme in our group chat and simply said “we are going to start our August break! So no Airsoft games until September…” but of course he’ll still be getting on the range with that new SPECNA ARMS PRIME J-SERIES and along with Bruno and Sara putting together their game reports, reviews, and articles ready for ISSUE 178… yeah, it never stops!

So, we’ll draw things to a close for another week, and finish up by wishing Stewbacca and all the other Action Air competitors in Iloilo City all the very best of luck for their final day of shooting! We hope that you’ll have some excellent shooting fun of your own this weekend too, and as always, if you’re out in-game Play Hard, Play Safe, and above all, Play with Honour!
