The guys over at GUNFIRE have been in touch to let us know that they have something new in from LAMDA DEFENCE, and it’s most certainly something unique as it’s the MDP-9, a result of a collaboration between Lambda Defence and Angstadt Arms, an American firearms manufacturer, and once again licensed via EMG!
This green gas powered airsoft sub-machine gun certainly looks great, and is available in three colours, grey (pictured), tan, and black. GUNFIRE tell us that;
“The MDP-9 features Angstadt Arms markings, which is sure to attract the attention of fans of licensed airsoft guns!
The MDP-9 features exceptional compactness, lightness, build quality and the ability to expand the product on many levels. The replica features a polymer upper and lower (the lower has been additionally reinforced with nylon). On the lower we find metal manipulators: a classic fire selector, a functional bolt-catch and an enlarged magazine catch.
On the front there is a handguard compatible with the M-LOK system and a reloading lever. The lever has a rough surface; it will be easy to operate even with thicker gloves or during fierce games when the hand may be a bit sweaty. Almost the entire length of the gun is equipped with a dorsal RIS rail, which will allow the attachment of, for example, a red dot sight or a laser, and for those who will want to attach a stock (or a tactical sling eye), the manufacturer has provided a RIS rail at the end of the replica, which will allow this.
The Lambda Defence x Angstadt Arms MDP-9 is a very good solution for, for example, snipers who are looking for a side-firing replica or for CQB fans who love dynamic airsoft clashes at close range. So, if you’re already a “Glock” user or have magazines for one of the other pistol models quoted then this could indeed be a great backup or CQB primary!
We’ve had a very positive experience with the LAMBDA DEFENCE GHM-9 variants, so we’re hoping that the new MDP-9 will deliver the same top-notch shooting experience… only one way to find out though isn’t there?
We’ll just have to test the crap out of one and report back!
