Here we go again then, another weekend has been spotted and we’re heading hell for leather for it as we put the finishing touches to ISSUE 183 here at AAHQ!
It’s been a GREAT start to 2026 so far, and we’re really excited to see what the rest of the year has in store… behind the scenes we’re in the middle of a big reshuffle as to what AIRSOFT ACTION will look like in the future, so expect some changes down the line…
Our airsoft world is forever changing and evolving and this of course mean that AIRSOFT ACTION must embrace the change to move forwards… never be afraid of change, embrace it, adapt, and overcome… and that’s what we intend to do in 2026!
We’re very, very proud that we have a core group of first rate contributors who continue to create first-rate content month in and month out, and we’d like to take a moment today to recognise that without them, there would be no AIRSOFT ACTION!
And although the AIRSOFT ACTION team is solid though, we continue to see many staff changes in airsoft companies these days, and that does make it harder to form lasting relationships within the industry, but to those that we have known for a long-ass time… THANK YOU for working with all of the AA Crew to help bring airsoft quality news to the global community in a timely and accurate fashion.
And we’ll continue to create the high-standard content that we always have, and to do this all of the AA Crew continue to put in the effort to make sure that we’re bang up to date with the very latest developments; MOA Expo is behind us and the report published, SHOT Show is done and the report is landed and ready to appear in ISSUE 183 next weekend, and IWA will be here in just a few short weeks with the report on that set for ISSUE 184 on March 15… yup, we are 100% putting in the miles and the “steps” to make sure we can continue to bring you the very best in airsoft news!
But of course it’s not all about shows and big-ticket events is it? It’s more all about playing airsoft and shooting AEGs, GBBs, and HPA-platforms! So what are the AA Crew up to THIS weekend?
Bill is properly back in “range mode” and continues to hammer new RIFs as soon as he can get his hands on them; he told us “I’ll be up on the woods-range Saturday finishing up my testing on the new SECUTOR CENTURION GBBR, and tuning in some of my own GBBs and GBBRs ready for action as game-season proper arrives here… I’m building another little “Tac SU” based on my old WE Open Bolt model and that NEEDS some dialling in as well, so that’s a new project under way that I’ll talk more about at a later date…”
Stewbacca said “this weekend Team TaiJi should be making a special trip to Miaoli to an outdoor CQB-ish site the guys have visited before but I missed out because was busy with a competition. The M733 is a prime candidate… or perhaps another round of MP5SD3….”
Miguel (pictured in all his CQB-glory this week with his new SPECNA ARMS VAPOR shotgun!) told us that “this weekend in Portugal we have the second run of the Presidential election, and on dates like these we don’t organize anything major. But, we will visit our field, check out it is after the adverse weather that we’ve been having, and I’ll take the opportunity to test and take a few photos with the Specna Arms KPYK AK!”
For many of us though, and we have no doubt some of you too, it’s “reset time”; Boycie, who is now heading back to full form, added to our chat “I’m still recovering from the “Shot Show Flu” but starting to plan future features and eagerly awaiting some products landing at Boycie Towers so I can get to reviewing them. Also doing some plotting with Li’l Stu for the coming year…”
Over in the USA Dan is taking some well-earned downtime (ish!) and said that “my kids have been begging to go to the Science Center since Wednesday evening (and in kid time this is equivalent to 20 lifetimes!), so that looks like where I’ll be hanging out this weekend…” and Matt commented “I’m looking long and hard at my tactical accessories shelf and wondering if I want to organize it because it’s also currently sharing space with my popcorn accessories and the gamer fuel powder…”
So, again, a mixed bag for the AA Crew this coming weekend, but hopefully the snows and rain and high winds that have been affecting us all will soon be a thing of the past and we can all get back to “full deployment”!
Winter is always a tough time when it comes to airsoft, and if you are out playing or shooting then please do spare a moment of thought for the Site Ops, Marshal’s, and RO’s that are out there battling “Old Ma Nature” with you to provide your fun, and as always we’ll sign off by saying Play Hard, Play Safe, and above all Play with Honour!
