Certain players of our acquaintance, along with some of the AA CREW have been waiting somewhat impatiently for VIVA ARMS to finally launch their BREN GUN as this is an exciting platform not just for WWII enthusiasts, but also for those who have been wanting a base for an L4 conversion project!

For those that may not know VIVA ARMS they’ve been about since 2009 making some totally righteous airsoft replicas! Based in Hong King they aim to reproduce historical classics while also creating the most unique products.

They say;

We achieve this using high-quality materials and processing techniques as well as our extensive knowledge. In terms of appearance, we strive to be faithful to the original product, and in terms of structure, we strive to achieve the unity of function and fun. We are committed to improving upon what we have achieved so far and sharing our gratitude with enthusiasts.”

As to the BREN we’re now seeing this finally on pre-order with a number of committed UK retailers like RARESOFT and DAVE’S CUSTOM AIRSOFT, and they both say of the new LMG;

Made mostly from CNC aluminium, with the remaining components made from steel and real wood, the Viva Arms Bren uses the Viva Arms unique gearbox, which is the same across its range of AEGs. Internals are readily replaceable with a host of aftermarket components already available. Fitted with Viva Arms CNC Gearbox as standard. This high-quality AEG is ready to use with either 7.4v or 11.1v Li-Po batteries out of the box.”

Details so far…

  • Length : 1335mm
  • Weight: 5.7Kg
  • Barrel Length: 500mm
  • Magazine Capacity: 150 BBs
  • Power Source: 7.4v / 11.1v Li-Po
  • Shooting Mode: Auto
  • Hop-up Type : Adjustable

We’re also seeing spare “.303” magazines on pre-order so that bodes well for the WWII guys, but we’re pretty certain there will quickly be aftermarket custom straight “7.62mm” versions appearing among enthusiasts…

Alongside the many, many Lee Enfields, STENs, ARES L1A1 SLR and the S&T L2A3 MK4 Sterling that are already out in the wild we think that although it has a pretty hefty price-tag the VIVA ARMS BREN will undoubtedly be a must have for many historically-inclined players out there!
