Many of you that check in with AIRSOFT ACTION each month will know that last year Bill joined Miguel in Lisbon to take part in EXPOAIRSOFT (featured in ISSUE 169) where the Portuguese airsoft community got together to celebrate all that is truly wonderful about our beloved game, and open the doors to the general public to come and see what airsoft is all about!
Bill said in his report on the event;
“I was massively impressed by everything I saw and by the sheer enthusiasm and community spirit that I saw in evidence in Lisbon; if we were to look for a “model” for how a community event should be run, then EXPOAIRSOFT was most unquestionably a brilliant example. Hats-off and massive thanks to Nuno and his team for arranging this, and I sincerely hope that this will become an annual event, one that I can return to time and again to meet with new friends, enjoying everything that airsoft has to offer among enthusiastic players.”
Sadly Bill can’t get together with the Portuguese community again on their home-turf as he’s off to Taiwan to report on MOA, but for the 2025 event Miguel has been more directly involved and told us;
“Ready for this year’s ExpoAirsoft? I know I am! Especially now that I’m also part of the staff, and it was become part of my day to day! But I digress. Yes, the AirsoftExpo 2025 is less than a month away and this year a bigger team was built with the objective of having a bigger and better event.
Last year the event was a success, even if we consider that it was its first year, but all that work can’t be done by 2 or 3 people. So this year we have more prepared for the visitors, more booths, more marketing and more to offer. This event aims to show Airsoft not only to the community, but to the public in general. We will have booths from teams, clubs, shops, associations and other projects. Make sure to visit!”
We wish our friends in Portugal all the very best, and we’re certain that it will be another roaring success for them… scheduled for November 22, 2025, at the Fórum Luís de Camões, of course Miguel will be taking the reins on this year’s report to share this fabulous event with other players and airsoft communities worldwide!
